‘Wings on King’ is a bird-monitoring project on the beautiful King Island. With 10 of the 12 Tassie endemics, 6 King Island specific subspecies (2 Critically Endangered and 2 Vulnerable) and many migratory birds passing through, there are some great birding opportunities - but we know little about their status.
Organised surveys are being undertaken in autumn and spring, on fixed sites situated across the island including on private land. If you can’t make these dates, surveys can be done at any time of the year - whenever it suits you!
When: 26th-29th April 2018. You will need to arrive on Thursday 26th for an evening orientation, team formation and welcome event.
Where: King Island, Tasmania
