A call for participants- Melbourne Water Regional Bird Monitoring Project (Ongoing)

This is a reminder that the Melbourne Water Regional Bird Monitoring Project continues into its sixth year.  Volunteer data collected over the past five years have been instrumental in the Healthy Waterways Strategy review currently being undertaken by Melbourne Water, and BirdLife Australia hopes to continue this partnership in the years to come. Data from previous surveys has been used to guide policy, so volunteers have the opportunity to directly influence on-site management to improve habitat for birds.

We need your help! This year, survey data is down.  Survey sites can be found on the interactive map here. If you have a local wetland or creek area you think should be included in the project please contact Kerryn Herman.  Kerryn.Herman@birdlife.org.au
