Bird Surveys at Charles Darwin Reserve, WA Oct-Nov

Bird Surveys at Charles Darwin Reserve, WA Oct-Nov

The Conservation Council of Western Australia is currently coordinating a project looking at how bush bird communities utilise previously mapped putative refugia in the Gunduwa region. In October and November this year we will be running 6-day long field trips surveying bush birds in various habitats based at Charles Darwin Reserve.

We will be seeking volunteers to assist us in surveying these areas. Training will be provided on the job – you don’t have to be a whiz at bird identification! Workshops to assist in bird ID will also be held during the trips outside survey periods. This training will be facilitated by Tegan Douglas from Birdlife WA or Alison Goundrey from CCWA. Accommodation will be provided with BYO food and linen.
